Ekal started the 1 Million Masks Initiative when the Covid 19 pandemic started. The masks are made in Ekal's tailoring centers. The making of these masks are sent to healthcare workers and the poor population of India.
The Digital Literacy training centers teach Ekal graduates about using spread sheets, word processors, accounting software and the Internet. This allows graduates to have a great benefit in their future employment.
Advances in telemedicine have allowed to promote better quality healthcare in Ekal villages. This includes teaching women how to use telemedicine gadgets and villagers who need special medical attention are able to use video conferencing platforms to meet with various doctors.
